I don't have a 3rd gen anymore, but I drop in and see if I can offer a solution.

You know I like to lurk and make comment to you instead of posting. 15 years and less than 700 posts, I only both to answer good/complicated questions or 3rd gen specific turbo questions.
I've also maintained maxima ownership since the 90s and have no plans to abandon my love for them (even after some jerk rear ended my turbo maxima, totaling it and forcing me to rebuild with a new frame)

still around most of the time even though I had to part ways with my 3rd gen, after an accident and the timing belt breaking afterwards plus a transmission replacement a year before all that. had about 275K when i sent her to the scrap yard. Best maxima I ever owned. Im mostly on the 4th and 5th gen forums. I have a 4th gen, now looking to buy a 5.5 or 5th gen. I may consider another 3rd gen in good condition as a second car, I just love nissans.

my 91 se-5 has @268k now and within the last year i did some things,
used 5 speed,2 used injectors and scored newish rear connectors and the front small harness section, then 2 other used injectors, then i had 1 more go
but this time got a whole rail of all 6 used and been good, also got tires and went back for my free lifetime realignment 10 years after the 1st one,
had sold it 2 years ago when it needed injectors and the trans bearing were finnally getting louder,he drove it a year till i bought it back and put a used trans in it and then the injectors and more injectors, lol
i also tried to sell it again last year when i had my 95 sentra gle a\t
but no one wanted the maxima, lol

Can't shake 3rd gen. Sold first one, kept 4th gen and bought another 3rd.

Now about to part modded 4th gen and continue building up 3rd - best gen IMO.

Nice to see 3rd gen mainstays still here!

just started lurking again yesterday. Sold my 2nd 3rd gen in 2007/08 (a VE), but I definitely miss my burgundy '89.

I'd love to get another one, but very hard to find clean ones anymore.

What's up everyone? I'm still kickin' it with "BuTTa", Lol! I had to replace my starter the other day, and I came to the conclusion that at 200K miles, you can expect to replace pretty much all the oem stuff on these cars. I'm at 207K mile now, and she is running like new. I made a couple of road trips to Tampa recently, and I guess it was what she was longing for, since then I've noticed a lot more responsive on shifting and acceleration. Just a thought! (Knocks on wood!)

How long has it been since I have posted? Quite a bit, I guess.

Just Wednesday, my wife found a box in the garage with some Maxima parts, so I posted it up for sale in the classifieds.

Still miss my car. Not likely to replace it with anything soon. Just have a wad of cash waiting for something to come along and my house to sell.

I'm here. I usually access this forum when it comes time to solve some problem ailing the ol' Max. Found some good tips and info here, over the years and even recently, for sure.

I'm still lurking around from time to time. I still have my 3rd gen but it's been sitting in the garage for 2+ years after being rear ended pretty bad. I plan on rebuilding when I find a clean enough donor car to begin the body work

I'm still around, lurking the forums when I have VE questions come up and making an infrequent post or thread.

Hands down this is the best car forum I have been a part of to date.
