The system is a nice as you build it...I've running one on the 3rd Gen and 4th Gen both utilizing 5"x 11" x 22" Magnaflow mufflers for the rear and 22" x 4" round muffler for the resonator....

They probably stock some high volume stuff but I can't imagine them stocking third gen systems let alone the 3" variety. It took them a few days to get mine out

I found installing Magnaflow mufflers make this thing sound High Quailty....I got a 22" x 4" round in as the resonator and a 11" x 5" x 22" oval muffler that fit perfect where the stock one was....

It comes with nothing welded on. You have to weld on all hangers etc
Tony, did you preemptively address the kinked bend with them to have them send a good bend for that section? Or are you just going to wait and see how the one they send you looks?

Just order it online. So I'm just waiting to see it

I did that....I had them tack welded....I test fitted every part marked them where they fitted and had them tack welded, test fitted on the car again to verify and once satisfied had them welded! Just fit, double check everything and go for it...

I invested into a chop saw and man it made this entire modification so much easier...stuff that you want weld can also be held in place with U-clamps/exhaust clamps...It's not hard just take your time.

If you chop the pipes with a chop saw or some other method of making square cuts, you can just wrap the joint in masking tape even. It holds surprisingly well. It won't hold up the full weight of the exhaust or anything but for mock up and/or aligning for welding it works very well

I think he meant for holding it/hanging it to see where you want it. (Alignment purposes)

This system is an awesome mandrel bent system and is a good point to start from...But the choices of muffler and the quality of the welder could be the demise of this well crafted system...I used basic car jack stands and a few 4 x 4 wood blocks and safety wire to do my mock up fitment which is ole school....but anyway patience is the key....I've good two systems one was a gift from MES for helping them design and fit this to J30 chassis...You can't beat this $120 tubing kit...

Well yeah. I know it's all "mandrel bent". But you're misunderstanding what I'm referring to.
If you had read the thread I'm talking about, MES has production issues with the 3" system and the close proximity of the bends on the back end of the system.
After they make one bend, if there is another large diameter bend close behind, their clamps that "grip" the pipe tend to slide into and kink the other bend close by.
So, to show you in pictures - here are the kinked bends I received on my 3" mandrel bent system from MES. This is only an issue on the 3" system. I have their 2.5" system too and no issues.

To sharp a bend but could be worse!!!! Do you think you lost some WHP it's at the end and not throughout the entire exhaust....like those bent at your local muffler shop which still aren't that bad when compare to bends like these:

Oh no I didn't lose any HP because, as I should have stated in this post about it, I contacted MES and they were great. Josh at MES explained what causes that and sent me replacemt bends to cut out their kinked sections and weld them in. He said out of the hundred plus 3" systems they offer that only 3-4 cars suffer from the kinked bend - with the 3rd gen Maxima system being one of them. That's why I was asking Tony if he preemptively addressed it with them to get them to send good replacemt bends from the get-go.
So it did cause a little bit more work on my end welding in new sections but I was happy with Josh's very quick and helpful response.
It looks like on Tony's setup they solved it by just sending the system in 3 pieces rather than two like mine was

here's the other MES sysytem I helped test fit for them as well. It's a 4th Gen 2.5" catback tubing kit:

Sorry to dig up an old post. Ive ordered the Warpspeed Y pipe, Vibrant Resonator and the stainless B piping from MES Trubendz 2.5 in but having issues with finding the right type of muffler. Been told these mufflers would be slanted down due to the inlet and outlet placement. Any suggestions for the 2.5 in piping? Looking for Greddy Sp style/sound or will any of these work if the pipe is bent to level the muffler?

My suggestion is to stay away from any mufflers under 18" in length! I'm telling you off the bat that 14" mufflers suck due to their lack of harmonics for our engine's exhaust tone especially during highway cruising speeds especially the 4 valve per cylinder engines not so bad with the 2 valves per cylinder engines. Installing the largest free flowing mufflers that'll fit is the secret to building a really sweet sounding exhaust system! The resonator was capable of being a 4", 5", or 6" round muffler. This is the same approach I used on my 2003 5.5th Gen Maxima which has Cattman headers and a Cattman 3" Catback exhaust system. I utilized a 6" round x 18" long Magnaflow muffler to reduce/eliminate the Highway drone. So, I'm sure either a 5" or 6" round resonator will fit under a 3rd and 4th Gen Maxima. The resonator size will definitely help reduce the droning frequencies and the 22" long mufflers will as well! It's advice and it's free but you have the right to do whatever you want, it's your car bro....

Really appreciate the info. Im just confused at the whole setup. It was easier when I just bought a warpspeed y pipe and had hiflow cat with a greddy cat back. Everything bolted up and no issues. But now Everything is all in pieces and need to be put together. So this is the resonator I've gotten. But from reading was told that the the muffler was the issue with the inlet/outlet. How do I choose a correct muffler? How about just adding tips to the end of the b pipe? I don't want a fat can in the back. I want similar to how the ol greddy was.
