There's a set procedure in the FSM about it. It's pretty specific and I can't remember it offhand. I want to say you're supposed to let it warm up and then unplug some connector and rev it X number of times and then set the idle and then plug the connector back in. I may be confusing that with the ignition timing procedure though.

You do want to raise your idle a few hundred RPM
