i found a motor out of a 2000 maxima SE with a 5 spd at a junk yard. I have a 92 SE. I' mseriously considering buying it and doing a transplant. then i could drop a blower on top. the price is pretty decent on it. the motor has 28,000 miles on it, and the junk yard wants 1,000 bucks for the motor cause it's my buddy. The car's a roll over. I get the exhauset manifold with it, and basicly everything attached to the block. Intake, etc. has anyone ever tried this? if so what did it involve. did you have to custom fabricate mounts?

dude its not worth the cost...

For one thing you will need the wire harness and ECU from that 2000 maxima. Then you will have to fabricate new engine mounts, BTW the VQ30DE uses 3 engine mounts vs our 2 mounts. If your car is an auto don't even think about it. Because only the tranny if even that would fit your car. You'd have to find 3rd gen 5spd axles, clutch clyinder, pedals, shifter, shifter linkage/fork, inhibitior switch. But hell no one on this board has done it though. Maybe you could be the first so others could follow .
