VG to VE swap, possible?

Okay. to all you maxima know it alls answer me a question. Is it possible to swap the '93 VE head onto a same year VG engine block. I might have the opportunity snag up a VE engine(or atleast parts from one) in the soon to be near future. Can it be done...Let me know

considering that the VE engine came in the same exact chassis (j30)what do you think?

no body has done it either, so your going to have to figure it out on your own.

Ok yes it is possible but not feasible, the cost that you would incur doing the swap make it stupid to do. It would be easier to sell the vg and buy a VE. Do a search and you'll see, this topic has been discussed before. And another note....I would use the search before asking...not everybody is as nice as me.

1. please stop sticking 30 empty lines in there. that's EXTREMELY annoying. it won't be hard to have Jambo stick a filter in to cut out more than 2 blank lines.

2. you're not far from a newbie yourself, and I remember LOTS of questions dumber than that from you!

thank you, drive through please.

and I'm sure I asked a few dumb ones myself when I was a newbie too, so THERE!

I think i changed my mind now Instead of the whole head swapping thing for my 89SE would a 92SE's VE fit in there?

I think I've gone crosseyed reading this post

Why would you try putting a VE in a VG. Hmmm... lets think this one through. You take a VG, worth somewhere between $2-4K; a rebuilt VE, somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.5K; a good 5-speed, around $1K; and all the other crap like wiring harness ECU and the like, another $500-1000. Now you have a VE powered car, if it runs, for around $7-8K.

Or you could have just bought one for $5K, which would you choose?
