I am so stoked. I finally found a TRUE cold air intake for my 1993 Max. I have been looking all over for almost a year. All I have been able to find is those darn cone K&N style adaptors. I would like to pass the information along. You too can have a cold air intake by going to www.rollhard.com. Or by www.placeracing.com. My filter is powder coated stainless, not that plastic tubing everyone has for their hondas. I think the silver ones go for about $230.

Please let me know if there is any other companys that sell the true cold air intakes.

ummm, am I missing something, or have you not looked to hard? warpspeedperformance has been making true CAI for both VG and VE motors for over a year now, for abou $150, including K & N filter.

Either I am totally missing something, or you got took by about $80.

Someone help me out here

guys, note his user status.. he hasn't exactly paid much attention to .org. I didn't know squat about my car (nor did I care) until I started posting on the max mailing list and Andi's old bbs.

in my own defense, I did post a thread asking if anybody knew where i could find a CAI. Seems nobody answered. Now I know where to go to get advise.

 

In the forums's defense, no one answered your question "where to find a CAI" probably because people ask this sooooo often and you ignored the big "IMPORTANT:..... (READ BEFORE POSTING)" sticky at the top of the page. This info is in the MAXFAQs on the main page. Also, you could have resorted to the SEARCH function, which might have been the only response you would've gotten anyway.

This IS a good place for help.... IF you've tried looking already and searched.
