knocking? and o2 sensor

I recently had to replace my whole exhaust system. So I decided to get a wsp y-pipe and hi-flow cat. I also replaced the o2 sensor. I've noticed that under hard accelleration in first gear only the car switched to a noticeably louder, seemingly rubbing or grinding noise. I haven't touched the timing advance or anything like that so I shouldn't be knocking, but I can't think of what else it would be. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Pleeease excuse my ignorance on this question....but what is the Y pipe for? Does this split the exhaust creating dual exhaust?

i can't tell you exactly what it's for, but no. it does not create duals. your car already has a y pipe, the wsp (warpspeedperformance) pipe just adds more power. what i do know is that the pipe coming into the y pipe on the stock on actually goes against the flow, and the performance one goes with the flow...makes a lot more sense. just do a search and you'll find a lot. and others might be able to clear this up more.

its really simple like "noleafclover" said....

stock y-pipe = restrictive and smaller diameter = boring *** Maxima!!!

WSP & Cattman y-pipes = less restrictive and 2.5" diameter = MORE POWERFUL *** KICKING MAXIMA!!!!!
