Hey guys I've hit the jackpot I found a guy who loved these model maximas he owns a body shop in my hometown. I was looking to sub out some body work and when I went to talk to him I saw he had a 85 300ZX turbo in mint condition! (if your wondering he wants $5500.00 cash and it has about 80,000 miles on it one owner him) So we began to talk and I find he has several maximas with which, I'll be stripping soon to add to my collection of extra parts. He asks me if I'm interested in the car, but I told him I just want the motor, and he says "thats all you want, I have another motor at my other shop so tomorrow I'll be checking it out! I need to know is there a difference in the 84-87 turbo motors and what are they and which block is the best for our swap. I also would like to know if these are cast iron or aluminum blocks. Hopefully this is the find Ive been looking for. He seems to be able to get these blocks like they
are plentyful from the way he talks! I think somewhere in town here there is a junk yard that only has import cars and specializes in nissan cars I just havent beeen able to locate it but when i do we all can cash in on this site!

I think they are pretty plentiful... Z drivers tend to wreck alot, i believe.

 

Ok say you do find a nice turbo motor... will the swap work with out other mods? (like the tranny???)
