Hey, I have a '92 SE and I have the VTC failure problem. I plan on doing the VTC ground mod and I would like to advance the timing. Has anyone ever done this to their max? What did it do for you? I heard it will give you a little more torque in your lower rpm's? How much did it cost? Thanks for your help! ~Steve

It was suggested that 5-8 over was good. I tried 8 and my plugs showed mild signs of detonation, so I turned it down to around 5 and turned up my fuel pressure riser to ensure the fuel was not leaned. I felt the greatest increase in power/ torque at about 5 over. Try this and check your plugs for detonation and of course listen.
