Fuel Injector replacement?

Hello

I believe that cylinder #1 needs a new fuel injector. Where are those back three located on the V6 model? Is it something that I can do myself? The front three are right up front. I can't seem to locate the back three? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Russ

Do you have a vg or ve engine? You could do it yourself if your somewhat mechanically inclined. If not you may want to take it to a shop. You will need to pull the upper intake off to get at them and will want to make sure the injectors are seated properly to avoid any fuel leaks after you have everything back together to avoid having to take everything apart again. If they're all original injectors you may even want to consider just doing all 6 one time while your in there. If you have a multi meter you can test them to make sure they're all between 10-14ohm but again if they're original and your planning on keeping the car for a long period of time I'd recommend doing all 6 at the same time.

Thank You. How involved is it to remove the upper intake? I have the DOHC (VE) engine.

Thank You

To be honest I've done them on the vg but not the ve but I wouldn't think it would be much different principal wise. Do you have an fsm to reference?

Hi all,
I used this tutorial and it is excellent
http://www.caraudiohelp.com/nissan_m..._tutorial.html

The problem is I am a nubee, so I think I was not able to seat the injectors properly. So, I had fuel leaking from the tailpipe. I had to repeat several times. So make sure your injectors are seated properly.

Pretty similar other engines with upper intake manifolds that cover the rear three cylinders. If it's your first time, mark the bolts that you take out, and stuff some rags into the cylinders/manifold so you don't drop anything in there. Trust me, it happened to me before and was not fun.
