VE30DE Timing Chain Tensioner Symptoms

Hello Everyone, My Max has got me thinking its time to replace the Timing Tensioners. I'm at 287K miles and a little curious at what some of the tell tale symptoms would be. Is there any drivieability symptoms or paticular sounds that would be a good indicator that they are in need of replacing. I do suffer from a slight hesitation or minor "buckin" at lower rpms 1200 to 1800 rpms when depressing the accelerator pedal in city traffic. Moderate acceleration does'nt seem to be an issue. I thought at first it was a classic "vacum leak" but ive checked and rechecked several times and cant seem to find a leak anywhere.

Thanks
