Do you guys (and girls) know what's happening to my car when the steering has been set to spec., but the car still pulls to the left or right? The car has NEVER hit a curb and the roads around here aren't too bad. I think that I first noticed this problem when I first put my 17x8's on. Could it be that the new wheel/tire combo is too much for my power steering pump? (A.K.A. Do I need a new P/S pump?) I have pretty much just lived with it for the past year or so. Anyone have any ideas here?

I did have the alignment set back to spec after I got them on. Perhaps a bent tie rod? (i hope not)

Ok number one, you CANNOT put 17x8, the most width you can put on your car is 17x7.5, that is a fact from Steve Millen Sports Car. The steering pump has nothing to do with the wheels or rims. That what might be the problem is (steering pump) I had the steering pump torn as well, but it didnt affect the steering that much. So i really dont know what to tell you. Best suggestion, get them ballanced and alligned again.

Re: Very Important Man

Maximum5spd, I beg to differ, I put the 17x8's on my MAx and they only rub when I turn the wheel all the way left or right.

I'll try to get them balanced and see what happens.
