Dash lights not working all of a sudden

Dash lights went out but when pressing brake pedal dash lights come back on!? Any idea what’s causing this and how can I fix it! Thanks in advance

I do not believe that there is a switch that connects the brakes to the dash lights, but I do know that that may have something to do with surging. So if your alternator is fluctuating or not charging right, you will have those issues. Either that or an electrical problem. Swap around your relays and check your fuses. Also take your car to advance and have them check your alternator.

Agreed. My Dash lights stopped working when my alternator went out... and another time when a short in my Tail Cluster blew a fuse.

So did you figure out the issue?

Yes. For me I replaced my taillight cluster which cause the fuse to blow. For you, it's another story. Does all your fuses have their correct value? And is your battery measuring 14 Volts while running?

My volts are usually at 13.5 to 14.1

The hard part is what is the voltage when you are braking?

Issue fixed

It was just a fuse!!!! Think I shorted out fuse when changing headlights a couple days before this! Fuse was hot on one side and still in contact but after I replaced fuse, dash lights came back on and brake light works properly
