Automate alarm slowly going

When I bought my car I had the Automate alarm installed. It had the window go up feature the auto start. That was 5 years ago. Now no lights come on when it is activated. The windows do not go up anymore. The passenger side door does not open with the remote. I was going to just rip it out and start over. Anyone have any ideas on this.

if im right, automate was made by DEI
if you're lucky you can find a new brain
that will just plug up to the harness
that might fix the problems
i suggest python or viper

well you can try calling DEI and see if you can get components replaced under warranty...i believe some of DEI's stuff have a lifetime warranty.

My 4 year old clifford (now another DEI subsidiary) went belly up on me a few months ago. called up local dealer, told me to remove it myself- including the wiring harnes and all sensors, and they gave me a brand new IG7000 under warranty.

that's not Automate, but it's a DEI company now, so I suggest calling a local dealer and trying your luck. fortune may be with you this week.

the automate alarm question

Hi there,
I bought my car used (97 gle) in 99. On the windows there are stickers that say automate--but I wasn't sure what that meant exactly. I was wondering what the difference is between the regular factory alarm compared to the automate one? what are the added features of an automate alarm and I am not sure--how can I tell if I have that still in the car?
thank you.
