Warpspeed needs muffler suggestions
I spent a couple hours yesterday looking at some different mufflers. I guess what would be helpful is if some of you let us know what type muffler there is the most interest in. I am going to meet with the local 4 state exhaust supply distributor next week to find out what exactly is available now. As well we will be talking with a local company who makes custom mufflers but since everyone seems to have different muffler needs your feedback would be appreciated.
So if the preference is aluminized steel or Stainless, polished or not, stainless case or totally stainless, welded seams or crimped, turbo style or stock, 16 ga baffles or thinner, glass packed for reduced sound levels; "These are all questions I will be asked."
We would like to offer several choices that meet either cosmetic, performance and budget needs, we also realize there is not one muffler on the market everyone would like.
(I am testing a 3" Flowmaster Delta flow next week on the 2000JGC vs the 3" Flow Pro I now have. $80 vs $45.) We will be testing other mufflers for the Maxima for sound level and resonance levels and will post results.
We just added a low restriction resonator to Dan's car, he has the entire Warpspeed system and it now has a sound level his better half no longer complains about.

i'd say make a couple different styles for different people and tastes. Some like the DTM style, some like the 4" inch tips. I personally like the DTM style.
and definetly SS. Especially for the people who live with salt on the roads.

i am liking my arospeed muffler. it is the one that is tuneable so when i go home from college. the noise is pretty much gone. and gives me the low power that i need. when it is out (the selincer) it is just a straight pipe. i really like.

I like stainless steel as well, and I think a choice of at least three mufflers would be adequate to satisfy every bodies needs and pocket concerns. Performance is always a factor of course but not all of us is willing to have a car that is so riced out it sounds like a chain saw wailing at full throttle as you cruise along. just my $.02
dual tip style
I personally like the dual tip style like some of the Borlas have. My friend had a Borla on his 90 SE and it sounded excellent. Like Nismo 87 said, it's not raspy and just a nice straight through muffler.
Twin tips.
Preferably in the same dimension as the stock muffler. intel at top of muffler, and outlets at bottom of muffler. Look under your car, you'll see what I mean. Nothing that looks more tacky than a universal muffler hanging limp/bent under the tail of a maxima.
