Cylinder 2 misfire
Cylinder 2 misfire
Hello everyone, I currently have an automatic 1990 nissan maxima gxe 80,000 miles, always kept up on with maintenance and well taken care of. I recently have ran into an issue where the gas pedal is very hesitant and would stall on the road while driving. I then replaced the fuel injectors and fuel filter assuming it would fix my issue but since i’ve replaced them, the car has been running poorly and has started to misfire (cylinder 2).
I then replaced the spark plugs, spark wires, distributor cap, fuel injector connectors, pcv valve and vacuum hoses but it’s still running the same with a misfire. I also did a compression test on each cylinder and they top at 180 psi. I also opened up the valve cover to look at the rocker arms, springs, valves and camshaft and it looked perfect. I have spark, fuel and compression so what else could my problem be??

Had identical issue! Found cold solder joints in the MAF sensor. Cut the cover open and find the wires from the connector going into the circuit board. Just resolder these. I sealed the sensor with duct tape and it's been working for years like that.
