Help me remove my spoiler...

... Anyone have any tips on how to remove my spoiler? Did a but didn't find what I was looking for. Anyway, I need to remove my spoiler without messing it up. I have an SE and the spoiler has the third brake light. Any help would be greatly appreciated (as always!)...

four bolts in the trunk lid, you need to remove the inner carpet lining. take those off, disconnect the power. the sides are held on by sticky tape, use floss to tget those off.

what color is your spoiler?

What day are you doing this? I might be able to give you a hand if you want. I can even do it today (2/11). Let me know.

Justin-
I'll probably either do it Wed or this weekend. Give me a call at home or at work or something... any help would be great! I also want to talk to you about a few things.
Did you get that FSTB on? How is it? Fit ok? What about the construction... is it solid or flimsy hollow alluminum??? Get at me...

I was just going to wait and tell you on the phone about my FSTB, but I figured other people might be interested so I copied this from what I wrote on another thread:

I just got my FSTB on this weekend. At low speeds I didn't notice much of a difference except that it was smoother and slightly more responsive. At freeway speeds however, I noticed a big difference. The front end is much more stable on imperfect road. The tracking is much smoother. The response is slightly better at higher speeds too, but I'm not nearly as nervous going into bumpy turns at speed. I wouldn't say it feels like it's glued to the road, but the front end has definitely made a step in that direction. Thanks Ken.

alright, i never had a spoiler and don't know about taking it off, but i do remember this being talked about before, and i remember someone saying that it would be easier just to get a trunk off a GXE then to have to fill the holes afterwards. so i guess unless you are getting a defferent spoiler with the same hole you'd have to patch it up. someone said the only real way to do it was to weld it, so i geuss that's why it would be easier to get the whole trunk lid. anyone else???

also, badaxxima, what fstb did you get? i am getting one soon and was still unsure which fits best for the VG. thanks.

Actually, the holes are so small that bondo is no problem for them. I'm pretty good with the stuff and I know how to paint cars so patching the small holes and painting the trunk lid is no problem...
Thanks though!
