Just wondering if my 1994 GXE auto could ever beat a stock 3rd Generation SE auto or stick. I was thinking about a CAI and a Y-pipe for my GXE. Would that do it or is the SE that much better?

you could beat a VG se, but not a ve, probably not even with the cai and ypipe. 160 vs 190 thats what your looking at

depends if you can drive the car.

you'll give um a run for their money.
I still beat 190hp Camaro's in my stock GXE.

It can be done with $$$...Speed costs Money...thats the ONE THING that you just have to keep in mind. Hell, if you gutted the entire car and had $50,000+ customize it all, chrome, performance, anything and everything you want. (NOS too!) We're talking carbon fiber parts, aluminum, plastic, etc. If you tried, I bet there's a way that you could get the car under 2500 lbs with massive "HP". But like i said, Speed costs money!
