Timing belt on VE??

I have a 92 SE, which I bought about 2 months ago. It has 87,000 miles on it, and I don't know if the timing belt has ever been replaced. I looked in my Maxima owners manual and it said that only the VG engine has a timing belt which needs to be replaced every 60,000 miles or so...so does this mean I don't have to worry about replacing a timing belt on my VE?
Also, what's the best spark plug to use on a VE?

www.ngksparkplugs.com and look up your plug there. They should be "NGK Laser Platinum" plugs. Shop around for them or the dealer carries these. Expensive, but they're recommended by most people here.

Practically they should last the life of the engine, so no you don't have to worry about it.

don't worry about the chain unless you've got the heads off or have any reason to remove the chain. if you have it off, check it for stretching and wear.

the tensioner is the part you need to worry about. these usually don't die, but it's happened before, and can cause serious damage. if you've got the timing cover off for some reason or another, it's a good idea to check/replace it, but otherwise leave that end of the engine alone. tearing into it for fun usually ends up not very fun.
