bose speakers suck
i have this problem with my bose speakers in my 90 se. they make this god awful whining noise when first turned on. i got the car 2 years ago, and i made the sound a little bit then. i thought it was the head unit. so i replaced it, and i had to bypass the speaker amps. i thought this would solve it, but it made the same noise. and another weird thing is when it is hot outside, the sound goes away and they hit pretty hard. but when it's cold, well that's a different story. i was wondering if anyone had the same problem, and if so, know how to fix it. i dont want to replace the speakers right now, beacuse i heard its a b*tch to rewire everything.

I have a '91 SE with the Bose system also. The system sucks!!
I had to disconnect two of my amps so far, since they went bad
- so now I only have 2 left side speakers working. I am going to get
a new headunit and speakers for my Max, but you also need to re-wire the entire system. Each Bose speaker has an individual amplifier,
and that is what usually goes bad.
