i was on my way to the mall to pick up my little cousins and on the way there, there was this red civic (most likely a 96 model and i could tell the way the car shifted to go to next gear that it was an standard) cuts me off (no signaling son of a b*tch) so i honk the horn and flash my lights. i am in the middle lane and i think i pissed him off when i did the horn and flash, so he switches over the far right lane (not signaling again) so that he could get side by side at the next light. its red and we sit there waiting for green, well the son of b*tch looks at me and smiles. i didn't smile back cause, well cause, hes a son of a b*tch (haha)..anyways, he revs (with all the rage of his little 4 cylinder), i kind of chuckle at the puny motor sound and stock muffler growl. so i rev and i know he heard me cause i have a free flow cat convertor, i also cut off the resonator (replaced by straight pipe), and the stock muffler (replaced with a cherry bomb glass pack and a 5 inch in diameter echo tip), so i pretty much have a straight pipe config. he stopped smiling and got a serious look on his face and i knew it was on...i was just waiting for it to hit green cause theres no way in hell this no signaling son of a b*tch is gonna beat me (espcailly in his little honda scooter...uh, i mean civic). i do have to admit i was kind of scared because i knew i had the superior engine but i was only an auto and he had a standard but i was still ready. the light hit green and i could hear both of our tires squeeling but mine squeeled alittle longer seeing how i am so much heavier and had more power. by the time i hit 30 mph i saw that his bumper was ahead of mine by 2 or 3 inches but i kept on the gas and i didn't look at his car no more on focused on the road ahead. by the time i hit 65 i looked at over to see where he was, all i could see was his front bumper at my back door so i knew i was kicking his @$$. when we hit 90 i was a almost a car length ahead of him and thats when i left off the gas so that he could pull up next to me so i can see that look on his face, the son of a b*tch slows down at turns quickly (not signaling again) at the next intersection and leaves in shame. no big deal, i raced faster cars then him but it was personal cause he cut me off then smiles like he didn't do anything wrong and then challenges to a street race...thats ground for an @$$ whooping. just something you guys might enjoy.

 

Dude a cherry bomb glass pack ? Those things are POS, they have almost no perfromance over turbo mufflers and rust easily. Not to mention they sound very buzzy and ricey. I would suggest getting a straight flow muffler like a borla. Then do a Y pipe with an intake. After that your car should be a real screamer.

 

i got a BlueMax Glasspack on mine. with the holes in my stock Y-pipe welded half @ss shut.

I support the cherry bomb. he he he, had one on my jeep, had one on my prelude, don't have one on my max, but i like the $ and sometimes you get a sweet tone. I want my max to gurgle. that's my next project he he he
