Front and Rear Speakers Help

I am trying to get to my front and rear speakers so i can replace them. However, i am having the hardest time trying to get the grill off on the rear speakers and the door panel off on the front speakers. Can anyone please tell me how to get to them. I have tried searching the forum for related topics and those are really much help. I need more details.

im assuming you have a 89-94 being that youre in the 3rd gen forum....anyway the 6x9 rear speakers you can access from inside the trunk. As for how to remove the front door panels, go http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.html and click on window regulator replacement instructions and youll see how to take off the door panels. Unless youre putting in a 4"speaker in front it will be a beotch and a half to install because that hole is so oddly shaped. I have to make a custom wood housing to fit my 6.5" speaker in there. You COULD cut and modify the existing speaker bracket to fit a larger speaker but im not for i plan to put back the stock stereo when i sell the car.

Re: Front and Rear Speakers Help

on the front door panels.. once you have the screws off just pull hard and it will pop off.

for the rear, if you cant get them out from under the trunk:
you have to take out the back seats. pull up hard on the bottom and it will pop up. pull down the armrest and unscrew the the two bolts, then lift the seat upward and it should pop out.
then take off the center brake light, and the top mat thing with the speaker grills should come out. make sure you have a short phillips or an angled driver for the hard to get to screws.
