Already searched for this but to no avail. I have a 92 SE Auto. The factory alarm has been going off by itself. It seems to happen in the afternoons for some reason. Sometimes when I reset it, it either immediately goes off again or goes off within the next 5 minutes. This has been going on for the last 2 weeks. I'm not a big fan of alarms in the first place and I would just as soon disable this one if I could figure out how. The owners manual is no help.

BTW, the driver's side interior light switch (you know, open the door and the interior lights come on) is a bit loose, too. I think the two problems are related. Does anyone have a clue on this?

 

i had the same problem with my 91 se
i didnt have an alarm problem though
mine did this because my door wasnt closing all the way, so try to tighten the sensor and the door
