3rd Gen. Key number

I found a used 89 with bad injectors at a local repair shop. The mechanic got it from the owner after they decided not to repair it because of the cost. The mechanic lost the keys. Is there a place on the car where I can get a key number?

Call your local dealer and geve them the vin number. They can get the key code with that.
