Broken exhaust studs!

I have heard some people mention that this is a common problem, is this really so and is ther a substitute stronger stud on the market that I could use in replacement of standard studs? I thought broken studs in the manifold may be a rare thing in normal circumstances. Well in mine it was definatly not normall, kinda gave the underside of the car a majoir thump which hit right on the exhaust- it sheered of 4 studs to both the front and read manifold. So far this has cost me $200 AUD to get a new gasket and a bolt specialist to drill out the old bolts and put newbies in. I am yet to get the front manifold repaired but estimate it will be another $200or so.

Sounds great with what you have got done but an engine rebuild is surly a large job to say the least and constitutes most of the cost. Do you have the 160hp engine in the max without the vvt? hmm 200horses is enough for me, I kinda like the sound of an engine rebuild although mine is functioning perfectly well
