Other than vinyl of something like that, i dont think there is much you can do. Maybe do like eyebrows or something for you tailight to make them not look so big.

I was wondering if it was anyway possible to make the center piece, thats red all the way across, clear instead of red. Cuz I have a white '92 SE 5spd, think that would look pretty good, just dont know how it would be done.

hmmmm

i am wondering why they dont make taillight covers for our cars, but they make headlight covers. if we had taillight covers we could just paint them with circles like the skyline has. i think alot of people would buy taillight covers if they made them. or even just a taillight cover with circles in them like the skyline. all i see when i see skylines tails is a plastic cover over regualr maxima tails.

I think instead of covers just taking the gts styling kit and finding the appropriate patterns, then just painting would look better than covers, but I just don't want that look I dont think. I would love to make them clear. Is there any type of chemical that can strip the red?

Well that would be my wet dream, but I would settle just for the old style clear, you know that just looked more white (not transparent)

looked and cant find nothing

i once saw a guy on the highway with the red plastic going through the trunk removed, it was filled sanded and painted just like the car
and it looked really good but it would be a ***** and cost some money, other than that there isnt much.. i love my max but have come to realize that mods are few and rare....

people have made custom clears on their 3rd gens. you gotta take them apart and take the red peices out. it looks ****ty. clears are out of style anyways now. stu did an actual skyline tailight conversion that looks sick. got some pics of it on my website if you wanna check it out. personally i think the stock 92-94 tailights look great. i dont plan on doing anything at all to them.

couldn't we get that big center piece to umm, light up or something? my opinion is that if it's not functional, it should be painted body color then again, i dont have the $$ to fill and paint that either. maybe we could get someone to manufacture a bunch of center pieces out of plastic or metal, and then get them painted to the right color. anybody own a body shop?

I can't rememeber where I saw this but someone was talking about how they did theirs. They said they went and got some plexiglass and a heatgun and formed his own middle piece. I don't remember seeing any pics but he "said" it turned out pretty good. This was about 6 months ago and I think, I am pretty sure, I saw it on here. I have been thinking about doing that since I read that post.
