92 SE vs. 300zx NA (Z32)
92 SE vs. 300zx NA (Z32)
Well I had a good weekend I raced 2 300zx non-turbos and pretty much won. What I mean is if I was racing a 1/4 or a even little more I would have won.The only mods I have are a cheap air filter and AL flywheel and centerforce DF clutch , that and 18' wheel which don't count(added weight). The first car was a pearl white model stock looking. We racing from about 10-115mph. I pulled in second and third, but I had to hit forth before he did and then he cought up and finally passed me. I was going to try to talk to him but needless to say he was ****ed. As soon as we slowed down he threw 2 circles right in the middle of the road and left town. The next day I was driving through town noticed a black Z32 following me, I asked my friend to see if he could tell if it was a twin-turbo and he said he couldn't tell, but it has a F40 wing and badass body-kit. After we left town I slowed down at the first passing zone to let him pass so that I could tell if it was a TT, it wasn't so I speeded up next to him, that's all it took, IT WAS ON! I punched it in third and topped it ahead of him, then on to forth gear. We where running about 130mph or so,by this time. I had quit pulling and was just mantaining the distance between us,I decided to stay in forth, BAD idea he must of went to fifth because he started gaining a little and before long he was barely passed me and the zone has ended. Looking back I would of hit fifth, I guess at 6.3k to rev limit you have so little torque, you might as well up shift. Overall I happy that my 190hp 4DSC could keep up with (2)220hp two seaters.

I agree, even though they have 220hp I have been able to take 1 with my VG while rolling from about 40 mph.

yah from a roll.. VG's even have better chance's taking a na z32, its kinda pathetic..
The VE 5spd should have no problems with a stock 90-96 300ZX non turbo. I remember when C&D tested the VE for the first time and said 300zx look out, another stablemate from Nissan is quicker.
