nice!!! yup I did the same to my GXE grille last summer, looks better than stock, but easier to do than a mesh grille(and looks better IMO too ) heres a pic of mine-->

Thanks for the compliments. My crappy 1 megapixel camera doesn't show details that well, so you can't really see the bars going across the grille...or anything at all!
My uncle is a fire dept. mechanic and he sprayed a few coats of the spraypaint after using the sandpaper to get rid of the chrome. I wasn't there during the painting though. I was thinking about doing the same for the emblem but realized it looked better without it on. It has a more menacing look now. The farther away one is from the car, the better it looks. All I need now are strobe lights.

Nice car man. I'd like to see a close up of the grille or some more light on it. But I think it looks agressive. BTW, looks like you have ABS...I guess GXEs with drums also had ABS available. What kind of paint did you use?
