Manual TC lock control ?

Anyone ever thought of making some type of controller for the lock up controll? The reason behind this is because below a certain point the TC improves torque output. However above that point it reduces torque output vs it being locked. So basically after a certain rpm you are losing more power with it unlocked vs locked http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....r+AND+lock+up. This could possible help drop your ET and it is a free mod. Just by looking at the wiring diagram for my sentra/Z32 (I don't have a maxima FSM) all you have to do is run a signal to the lock up line when you want it to lock.

I had thought about doing something similar to this with a tiptronic type mod I thought about doing but didn't have time. One thing I wasn't sure about is if the torque converter would be strong enough to withstand the power. Obviously it will endure more power since it won't kick out. I don't know how it locks up or what it does to lock up but Id imagine it would be something that isn't able to take a great deal of power.
