Can any other Nissan Maxima gens headlamps for a 3rd gen?

I found some headlamps cheap for 4th and 5th gens, is there any way I can modify my car to accept the newer headlamps?

the shape is probably too rounded to fit them well. not sure on that, but I'd say they most likely won't line up to the sheetmetal on the car.

You have to do some major modifying for those headlamps to line up...

BMW headlight conversion is probably 50 times easier to install than trying to fit 4th or 5th gen lights. And BMW headlights aren't easy to do.. you still need to do some modifying... like cutting the metal brackets.

Yes it is possible

There is a guy that i use to work with and he had the 97 max head lights and grill on his 90 max so it is possible.
