spring and tire question<<<plz help

I just about a week ago installed monroe sensatracks struts on my car and was wondering if i could drop it with these struts. will it be to bumpy? If i can drop it what spring should i use and how long will it last? i also bought rims. They are 16 x7 and and my stock rims are 15x6 . do u think that if i put wide tires such as 225/45/16 that it is going to rub against the strut or the spring. I would really appreciate if you guys could help me on this.
thanks

i have 225 tires on my car with an intrax drop and it doesn't rub. i don't think it matters with new struts, mine are still stock, but shouldn't matter. with new stuts and springs the ride will be better, somewhat bumpy with the lower springs at first, you just need to give them time to stiffen out and get softer. Intrax, eibach and sprint make springs for our car...each lowers it more, just depends on your prefrence in how low you want your car. i'm about to get 18"s and hope theye don't rub compared to the stocks on it now. hope this helps.

i thought using your old struts with harder, lower springs was bad for the struts?

I've got 17 x 7.5 wheels with 215/50 tires, and they are perfect, no rubbing, nice ride, and they look great, actually they rub slightly when I am making a U-turn (wheel turned all the way), but that's it.

Hey, nothing is going to rub. And once again....do a search, I cant think how many times this has been asked on the org. Youre not going to be able to get exact answers for what you want.

IMO stock replacements can't handle the loss of suspension travel, at least not for long. Some would argue otherwise, but I did the springs first and it hurt my car. I need Koni adjustables for the front now. Anyone get deals? I want to get rid of my KYBs...
