super amazing tranny fix!

bled the clutch lol. she's shifting like a dream now. i don't know why i didn't do this sooner. i guess i was convinced that my synchros were toast or something. anyway, i bled my clutch and it goes into gear with no complaining, it shifts smoother, i guess that's why the shifter was so stiff! now just get some redline and fill up my tranny and i'll be all set. . .

probably a worn out clutch.. they do weird stuff when they're almost gone.

Speaking of new clutches

Hey Matt,

Where did you get your ACT clutch? And how much was it?

My cars in the tranny shop now

I had the syncros replaced(they were bad) ,the front throw-out bearing(cheaper to replace it now ), a better clutch(the old one was kinda worn and begining to slip, and the installed my short shifter. It supposed to be done now. but Ive been hearing that for a week. I'll find out in a bout one hour when my friend comes to pick me up, hopefully he'll be in my car. I miss my max.

I also bled it but that didnt help, so I took it to the tranny shop.

(told the story backwards )

but since your here, i bet you could answer this..
i have clutch chatter on my 94 se , and i know its to do with my flywheel and clutch OR my mounts... PROBLEM IS this is my daily driver, and i tried checking my mounts...and i cant tell if they are bad (tried the e-brake test and visually looked) and of course if im gonna open the tranny up, i better have decided right then and there while its open to change SOMETHING.. so my question is, with your experience and knowledge.. while i accelerate i hear i 'click' or couple of 'clicks' depending on how aggressive i accelerate, and 'chatter' ant the same time.. i suspent the mounts becuse i have driven the baby hard since i got it... but what do you think it is.. #1. mounts #2.flywheel/clutch.

BTW. the e-brake test, only checks the front and rear mounts...correct?
in other words this test would not eliminate ounts as the cause of chatter...

thanx for the help matt.
