i went to etown fri night and had trans problems,which ive been havin just got worse,shifting is very notchy,grinds into 2nd and 3rd at high rpms...3rd just started(used redline and didnt do anything),i have seriously bad clutch chatter,basicly im about to just get a tranny rebuild and ACT clutch..what kind of work is involved in rebuilding a trans and how much can the process go for,i intended to have them do the clutch while the trans is off,which shouldnt cost too much more labor..im thinkin just the syncros are bad but im not a trans guy,pricewise would i be better off gettin a used trans from a junkyard($500 or less)..are the 89-91 5spds known for having grinding problems???and does anyone know how to adjust the clutch,mine picks up right off the ground
