auto tranny shift

I have my max back from a tranny rebuild. I feel the car shifts diferent when the tranny its cool, normal, hot.
when its cool they shifts very quick, when its like normal they shifts smoth but when i have too many time drivin, driving hard and its really hot (i live in a tropical country) the tranny dalays the shifts a little bit.
Its that normal?
I think i need a tranny cooler to keep the tranny in normal.
Anybody have the same?

A tranny cooler is a great way to protect your tranny rebuild. I got mine for about $40, and installed it myself. I have had no problems in the 20k miles I have owned my Max (at 124k now) *knock on wood*. You can get one at carparts.com -- I chose the B&M brand because they use a superior heat exchanger design. The smallest size should be fine for your car, though since you live in a tropical climate I bet moving up to a bigger size won't hurt (as opposed to people who live in climates that have winter). Another thing you can do is replace all of you transmission fluid with synthetic -- synthetic fluid has much more stable properties (denisty, viscosity) over a wider range of temperatures. Hope that helps.

Thanks I will get my cooler soon.
I was thinking on synthetic fluid too, my mechanic told me its better for my tranny.
