Grounded VTC still knocking!

I grounded my VTCs back in July of 2001 and they stoped knocking and everything was good. Just recently they started knocking again (while grounded). What i want to know is why is that. Also in case it matters I have a really lound exhaust leak, dont know if that might be part of the reason....also when i changed my oil back in early February I only put in 4quarts..do you think i might need to add another quart? Any info is greatly appriciated! Thanks!

If they are grounded, it is not your VTC's.

look at your dipstick to tell you if you need to add more oil, don't ask someone 5000 miles away.

the ticking could be because of low oil level, or the exhaust leak. get everything else fixed, then see where it's coming from.

What you're asking is like saying "My father can't dress himself in the mornings..."
but the real problem is that he's a drunkard and is sh!tfaced by 8am, so THAT'S why he can't dress himself.. fix one problem, and the other may likely go away.

"do you think it might be because I have a ten inch gash in my back?"

Actually its nothing like that because i hadnt had much time to even think or look at it because i was at work. Then about an hour after posting i realized what my options were, then i checked and it was the oil. Im pretty sure if my back was cut wide open id know it!!!
