I was just wondering if the underdrive pulleyes affected your audio system in anyway, because i plan on doing this mod soon.Right know i have 2 tens,4 tweeters, and a 2 channel 500watt amp,so will this mod affect my sound in anyway?

Well since you only have 500W amp running the subs, you should be fine. I bought an additional battery because all 3 of my amps put an enourmous strain on the alternator, let alone when I put the UR pulley on, the gauges were hardly lit when I had the A/C and/or stereo on. The 2nd battery got things back to normal and you notice a big difference with the new UR pulley. The car will "pull/accelerate" a lot harder and you will definately notice a difference even though it's only like a 6-8 hp gain, but I think its worth every penny.

The reason I got the UR Pulley (knowing about the stereo/alternator complications) was for performance. When I go out to the strip (100 miles west of Omaha) I take all of that stuff out (subs/amps/cap/2nd battery) for weight reasons. I kinda like running without all the stereo stuff because the MAX seems so nimble and light (with my modifications), as if it had lost half of it's weight.

Any questions? Just Post 'em

Right...but its only in there whenever I have my subs in there, which is only some of the time. Why do you ask?

Sure anytime. As for a bettey, just ask any small electronics store (not best buy circuit city, etc) about doing this. They all have different prices. As I recall, I think that my battery was about $200, the cap was $??? and about $150 for install and cables.

When I installed a UDP on my VE>>>>

I did a electrical/charging system check before and after the UDP was installed, there was no difference between the two test. Keep in mind I have no audio mods (yet), so I'm not too sure how it would affect you audio guys

Where does the pulley add power... low end or high end? Will this give me noticible increase in acceleration? What's the price and how hard is it to install? Sorry about all the ???

Go here for the answer to your questions: http://integra.vtec.net/geeser/megamax/UDP.html
If you have an Auto, there's a lot of work involved, but a manual maxima is pretty simple. I have a local import shop put it on because I thought that it was over my head. They put it on for about $100 +tax. The UR Pulley from Courtesy Nissan is $190.

I'm leaving For Texas tonight, So I'll be back on sunday
