Window Problem....help Please

Alright, here's yet ANOTHER problem with my 91 max SE (that's why it's for sale and getting a 98 SE 5spd) but anyways..... The driver's window will not go up by itself... I have to take the little trim pieces off of the door panel, and hit the back where the wires plug into the little control panel thingie to get it to go up....and NOW that isn't even working and i'm stuck in 0 degree weather with my window all the way down......any ideas on how to fix it? And if u say it's a window Regulator, what is that? The motor? Because I don't think the motor is shot cuz when i do get it to go up it goes up smoothly.... ALso when i push the down button is goes down everytime....is it just a loose connection? where could I get some more of those connectors?

Basically

The original equipment on the windows was plastic. Over time they will brake. Since the window is heavy, the plastic clip connecting the window to the regulator cable(hmmmm? Regulator: metal frame which allows the glass to move up and down smoothly and properly by use of an electric motor.) brakes, which is why it will pull the window down but not up. The new regulator is better (mine was metal instead of plastic) and is a complete replacement with motor. I tried to be as simplistic as possible, it being after 12 and all. Hope it helped, it's easy to do it yourself. Just remember to roll up the window before removeing the regulator or you'll scratch the tint and/or glass.

Yeah but the problem is i know it's not because of the regulator,,,, it's something to do with the electrical switch, because once i tap it, it's as if it connects and then goes up smoothly,,,, no problems..... i think it's either the control module with teh buttons or just the connector that goes into it....one of the two,, but i have no idea where I coiuld get a replacement part for it.

I'm havin some driverside window problems too. It'll go down slow, but when it comes about half way back up, it just about stops. At that point I hafta grab the window, and pull it up while holding down the switch. Any Help?

Either your window motor is weak or the window track is off. A little grease on the track wouldn't hurt.
