Im getting te kit2 from courtsey, timing belt, all other belts, tensioner, seals, water pump, and thermostat, cost runs $215-230. Think I should still go with buying from them or stick with doing it all with Nisstech, the mechanics for my car?

does your mechanic use all OEM parts? find out what he'll charge you for parts seperate from labor. Match his cost to a quote from Courtesy with shipping and see if you're saving or not...

Uh...would it be strange for me to suggest my mechanic (non-Nissan) order from that site?

Since most shops have accounts with parts suppliers,it may be a hassle for him. You might be able to talk him into using parts you bought.

One (of few) advantages to living in a small town is that my mechanic is practically a family friend, so he doesn't mind when I buy all the parts myself, since my family gives him so much business. However, if you don't know your mechanic too well he may not like that because mechanics put a VERY nice markup on most of the parts they sell. It wouldn't hurt to ask. By the way, most of the tune up parts can be replaced by you, with few tools.
