how can i get to under 3000 lbs?

Passenger seat, remove under rug padding, lose the power antenna, remove head liner+padding,.....you could take out your windows for the day, keep the tank close to empty(gas is like 8 or 9 lbs a gallon),Put a bunch of helium filled garbage bags in the trunk

autos are considerably heavier(like 60 lbs. more) i got a 5spd,id like to keep A/C,well actually i refuse to remove it...CF hood...how much does that reduce? maybe makin my sunroof carbon fiber??dont know how good that would look, maybe not so bad since my car is black

your cf hood prolly takes off 50 lbs, and yeah what IS that counterweight in the back for, i cant figure it out!!!
also dumps also have weigh stations.
it isnt too cheap, but replace windshield / rear window with lexan, lexan is stronger, and doesnt break easily, and will drop you 50 lbs each
sport alternators weigh lesss
underdrive pully weighs 8 lbs less![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
lose stock wheels, that will drop you 5 lbs each (which is alot of unsprung weight)
remove your trunk lid, replace it with cf, get a lightweight spoiler

and what is this counterweight? where is it exactly? i guess it's to change the front/back weight ratio, but i never heard of it.

The Endyn Civic has a CF plug in the sunroof hole. Removing that along with the rest of the switches, motors, and electronic **** would probably save a decent amount of wieght. Also, use dry ice to remove the tar coating that should be on the inside of most cars. Dry ice + putty knife = no more coating.

i dont have a CF hood or anything CF for that matter.i simply have NOTHING in the trunk and that combined with a 5spd and nothing miscelaneous in the car i read 3052 without me on the scale, these are all good ideas but the only ones i will seriously consider are the pulley and CF hood

Replace all the screws, nuts, and bolts with aluminum ones?
Hehe, no joke, my buddy in the Navy was planning on helping me do that, and get cf hood/trunk, replacing the body with fiberglass or that rubbermaid sh*t that the Dodge Peons use...
I just looked at him and said, "Man, you're a crazy SOB... You want me to take the WHOLE thing apart, and put it together using NEW bolts? It's bad enough that I always have extras just putting something back together!"

Get 15" lightweight steel wheels. Maybe like those black painted Daytona style ones if they make the right offset. Or maybe just ugly under-the-hubcap steels? Ugly, but they might be lighter.
If you don't mind the handling reduction remove your front and rear swaybars too.

all 4 speakers = 15 lb.
replace glass windows w/ plastic like in nascars = 80 lb
all seats out execpt driver = 60 lb
fiberglass fenders = 30 lb
replace hood w/ CB hood= 50lb
UDP = 8 lb
strip trunk=30 lb
lose exhaust system
Swap in a V-TEC 4 banger![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

because of the bernouli effect, faster you go, lighter you car is, the spoiler will help keep you down, cause if you go 120 mph, then your car will have absoulutely no handeling , turn your will, and your car will either keep going straight, or flip over repeatedly
like nascars, you can get front and rear spoilers, and tune them, so that at x mph your car has the right ammount of lift, but less than that you still have handeling, that is done so you can get higher speeds and better mpg
