What advantage do you get from raising you Idle Speed?

What's you normal idle?

My engine has about 950 rpm at idle (I've heard the cars without air conditioners have approx. 880-900).
More idle rpms - more oil pressure at idle...Are there any specific advantages or not - I don't know.
