Well i got a VE, and i put a y-pipe in last week. It sounds alot better, more throaty and louder. As far as power im not sure, im sure its faster but i couldnt see a tremendous difference. Sue sounds good though!

James nice greddy! I had my mechanic put new rubber hanging things on and raise the exhaust so that the tip is just bearly not touching the bumper and the muffler is alittle more hidden

Re: question on y-pipe

I just WSP Y-Pipe installed last week and I love it. I am having a problem with it rattling when I am in reverse or stopped at a light. I think this was a problem with the install and I will be taking it back to the shop as soon as I can. As for sound I really can't tell that I have it on unless I am WOT. The intake makes more noise then the y-pipe. I do notice a little hissing around 5500 RPMs and I think that is the bees-in-a-can sound that everyone is talking about. I will be going home on the 13th to run it at the track and see how much I improve over my personal best. I also added a Carsound Cat while I was doing it, I would recommend this too.

have them heat it up with a torch for a few minutes at the section just over the FSB, that should get rid of that rattling!

I had this problem too -- one of the brackets that kept the old y-pipe in place actually touches the side of the WSP y-pipe, which causes the noise and vibration when idling. Have them bend it or cut it off -- problem goes right away.

Re: Re: Re: question on y-pipe

I will have to have them take care of this when I take the car in again. I won't be able to make it home this weekend, going out of town for the whole Easter Family thing. But I will be most likely be home for the weekend of the 13th and plan on heading to the track again.
