Crankshaft broke, purchasing info?

Well I used the search for this one but didnt come up with anything usfull. My crank shaft broke, it broke rite on the corner behind the timing sprocket.I dont want to weld or repair, I want a new one. But all of the places that i've been to are asking for a small fortune. Please if any one knows where to purchase a new crank, preferably at a descent price that be great, thanks.

You can buy a crankshaft from a junkyard and have it machinced. New billet nissan crankshafts are $700. It would almost be easier to just buy another engine.

Re: Crankshaft broke, purchasing info?

thanks, but the billet one would be nice but it is to expensive. And all the junk yards in my area rarely carry the parts I need, but I'll call around. And I was wondering if I were to purchase one from the junk yard and have it machined, would I need to mach up a new set of main bearing, or could i just use the old ones?
