I had this problem too. I got some spray white lithium grease (Pyroil brand) and sprayed the hinges and the stop piece (whatever that thing is called) and work the door open and closed several times. It cleared it up for me and my doors open and close like they are supposed to. I don't know about the long term of doing this though because its only been about 2 months or so since I did it.

There may be some special grease that you are supposed to use.

Is it just very stiff like it needs lube? Make sure there's nothing bent out of shape or binding first. Check the mechanism parts for rust and such too. I'd use something heavier than WD40 for the long-term (ie, grease) WD40 doesn't stick around for very long and thins out existing grease.

Actually, the rear doors are probably in fine shape.. the tensioners on the front ones are worn so much because you use them every day that you think that's "normal". then when you use the rear doors (once every couple days like me), they feel stiff and hard to open.

I know my two back doors are stiff, and it's not just me
My friends all joke about my ghetto doors when it's my turn to drive... But we're so used to it now, the only people it throw off still are people new to my Max.
I prolly should spray it with something, huh?
