Barter deal 92SE
How about this deal I trade an alvarez Acoustic Classical guitar, a bearcat 55xlt hand held scanner.
The car needs a little TLC 136k 5 spd VE motor runs strong. When I got it from my brother it would idle erratically from idle ~3500 constantly.
Needs passenger side axle
has four mismatch tires 2 bald
Nice Tri star rims
Black Leather and power slider.
Burgandy Pearl
Clear coat comming off bumpers and wing.
Sort of smells like a cat sparyed it.
Looking for a nice leather gear shift and a replacement boot.
What do you guys think of that deal.
Dealer fixed the idle problem for $68!!!

here is a questions for you guys. Would you rather spend 5 to 6 grand for a 3rd gen with mods or buy a 4th gen? Personally i would get the 4th gen, i know there aren't that many fans here with the 4th gen, but with a good body kit and rims, the 4th gen is da bomb.

I payed $1650 in May of 2001 for my 90 GXE, and since then, it has been undergoing non-stop repairs. First a transmission, then another one, then a new engine, then a ton of other crap that I shouldn't have to deal with. Let me tell you, don't buy cars at auction! If I had gotten to drive this car around a little, I wouldn't have gotten it. But I'm kind of glad I did, because regardless of its being a money pit, I love it more than any other possession.

Back in November 2000, I bought my 93 GXE Maxima for $7,500. Loaded with Leather Interior. At that time, it had 91,000 Miles on it. Currently, it has 99,650 Miles on it.
As soon as I bought it, the Tranny Blew. Thank god for the 1 Year Insurrance I bought, it was replaced with a brand new tranny, for free. Had lots of other problems, that all the insurence covered. The only big problem I actually paid for, was the back axle was messed up so i couldnt get an allignment. Well the piece for the back tire was fixed then it was aligned. Cost 280$ to fix, OUCH!
But havent had a problem scince. I love my Rice Burner!

Summer of 2001, paid about $4000 for a 92 SE (auto)....tranny was on the verge of dying, but warranty replaced that. No other real problems except for tha fact i love my Max so much that i wouldn't even let my aunt eat ice in my car and now I'm gettin kicked out the house because of that...my maxima will now become a MAXIBAGO!

Bought mine with 83k on it for 4k, insurance was gonna give me 3750 when it was totalled. Not too shabby, considering it was still in perfect condition.
Now, I'm at 102k, had some mods, been through a wreck, and it's still running strong.

$3300 in July 2002 for my 91 GXE with only 75K miles! It was basically a one owner from an older lady...it shines like it just came off the showroom floor, inside and out! What a steal!

Still haven't seen anyone legitimately beat my Cost $200 + $65 for title + $90 for injectors and gasket. Runs Great! still needs a couple odds and ends but drives and looks good!

Well, free beats it, but I guess you could question the legitimacy of the deal since it was "all in the family"..

My parents bought our '93 SE used in March '96 for $14,800 with 36K miles. They were thinking about selling it but I told them NO WAY!! I offered to buy it for $5000. They didn't realize how much I loved the Maxima so they gave it me as a late christmas present last January instead. I love my car..and my parents!

5700 for my 92 se 5spd 96k back in dec 2001 and my friend tim got his for free literaly from a guy whos dad was gonna get it taken away by the junk yard but the guy said hed rather see it have a good home for free than 75$ to the junk yard it had a blown auto tranny and some minor front end damage 91 gxe auto with 150k so we did a 5spd swap for about 500$ although hes up to around a grand with the title, tax, a window regulator, power steering hose and battery

$12,500 (march, '98) @ 11.25% APR. total cost = just under $20,000. because I put $0 down. ugh..never again.

Wow! I haven't been here in awhile, but the site is looking GRRREAt! Unfortunetly, I had to sell my Maxima. I almost cried. It only went for 200 bucks at auction, and that was after I worked extremely hard to make it beautiful. The world is not fair. To those of you who still have your Maximas, cherish them.

I've got two
I have a 92 --- with 152k miles that I paid 12k for in 95 (when it had 30k on it)..
This is the best car I have ever owned - period... My old lady drives hell out of it. I've changed the timing belt 2 times - the water pump one time and done the brakes 3 times... That is it.
It has never been to a dealer and it runs perfectly. (Better than my brand new ford F150)..
Unfortunately, the AC Clutch is heading south and next year I am going to have to change out the Compressor/Clutch since you can't get the Clutch separately. This is going to cost about 500 if I do it myself.
I recently bought a 94 w 80k for my son. This car has been a problem child..
So far two separate injectors have went south. (on two different occasions.)
The automatic Climate control backlight is bad.
I'm currently fighting with the Crankshaft timing sprocket whilst trying to change the timing belt.. It's a nice *** car but it has issues.
Anyhow... The Old Nissan's kick *** - if you are mechanically inclined...
