$0 -dad bought it brand new in '89, drove it until 2001. he then bought an '02 Impala LS 3.8L. he got tired of pampering a car and got one he could drive into the ground on business trips. he was going to sell it , but mom intervened and saved the Max from orphaning and convinced my dad to let me drive it. Was my car senior year of high school and is still my main ride. ::still breathes a sigh of relief it wasnt sold:: I am very thankful that I was given a car and will never forget that.

$1400 for the 1992, but have $3300 invested right now, which basically covers the tax, licensing, replacement Tranny, Exedy, Fidanza, some Interior Pieces and thats about it.

I just purchased some 300zx brakes, but need to buy new tires (now wheels because of the brakes), Am going to replace the fuel filter, PCV valve, O2 Sensor, and clean the EGR. Once I can get some more money I'd like to get a UDP and Y-pipe, and some suspension mods would be nice.

well since I posted my other maximas a while back I have gotten 2 more.

89SE parts car-$200 and used so much I made money on it...not to mention he threw in a vlsd 5spd from his 94SE.

I got a 92GXE for $300 with bent valves. Spent $500 on getting the heads fixed and misc. other things and it runs perfect now. Perfect interior now (covered the seats in my new Katzkin leather and put the cloth seats from my se in there), sunroof, did have almost perfect exterior until a hail storm. I will fix the dings and paint it though.

Awsm66 is like a halfway house for unwanted Maximas...

Paid $1,500 for my 89 SE that had a messed up bearing in the tranny (no 1st gear) and broken regulators (which happened right after we paid and drove off ) I love her tho... she's my baby... my GFs usually don't take too kindly to that fact...

I actually tried to buy another totalled 93SE from a guy in FL. but he wanted to keep it and get parts off of it for his new car. Then said he was going to part it out.

the funny thing about the 92 is that my friend had just spent a bunch of money on it by putting new tires on, tinting the windows, putting a new front windshield in and a few other things and when the t belt broke and messed up the valves he decided enough was enough and bought his wife a new corolla. She always talks about how she misses the max and expecially after I polished it, put a lip on it and re did the interior. She really wants it back now lol.

'93 SE 5sp 162k mi. - $3,815.00 +Tax in September of '02. It was beautiful! All it needed was fog lights (one was watered inside - real nasty), CC brake switch, CC vacuum actuator thingy (fixed, woohoo!), Bose head, Add-on CD player, Y-pipe, transmission, power steering hose, driver side axle, and a few assorted performance parts. It mostly works good now, though!

I just don't understand why my friends keep telling me I paid too much for this car!!!

1990 Maxima Se w/ 144 k miles last christmas for 2800. Came with new tires, registration, new tranny and computer. First maintenence was a new timing belt (the one it had was the original), back tires, and then the brakes. Not bad i'd say.

$3000 for a 91 SE Auto w/ 130k miles. Car looks beautiful, leather seats and all. Only thing wrong with it is a peeling front bumper which I currently have covered up with a car bra. Bought it last December and it runs great. Love it.
