Need help with Indiglo's....
Just got my indiglo guages and I'm stuck on how to go about installing them. Do they lay over the stock gauges, or do they completely replace them? How do I get the needles off? How'd you go about wiring them up? Mine came with no sort of instructions whatsoever. TIA

I can tell you the needles. take the little needle restint pin thing out and be very careful doing it because it will fly out. let the needle drop down. mark where the needle is pointing somewhere where the mark wont be seen. then, spin the needle counter clockwise a a few times then gently while still spinning it pull up on it, again very gently, if you pull of the needle and pull the metal thing out the the needle is on, you have to buy a new speedo, tach, etc. when you go to put it back on, put the needle over the metal piece and apply firm pressure to it till it stops. then spin the needle counter clockwise again till it lines up with your mark. hope this helps

are you making sure you are pinching the sides and not where the slit is? you can also try using needle nose pliers. i've been able to get them with my fingers before, just move the needle to the opposite side of the pin, pull up on the guuage and pinch the bottom of the pin while holding the top.

be careful...I don't know about Maxima indiglos but a friend of mine got some for a celica and he took the needles off (before calling me) and he didn't have to. Check yours and see if the hole where the needle goes is pretty big and if it is you just slide the overlay over the needle to put it on.
Hope this helps.

bro, bro, do NOT take the needles off. the guage will slip right over it. all you gotta do is unscrew the two little screws on the guages, slip the indiglo over, then screw it back down. the temp/fuel one's a little trickier though cuz there's two needles email me if you need more help

a friend of mine got them put on his 1994 Maxima GXE and the guy just slipped them in and that was all of course there was wiring work. When he put in the temp and gas gauges he just played with the needles until they cooperated with him. Hope this helps

I finally got them on. They did "slip" over, but you have to mess around with the needle alot. I actually broke off the pin on the Temp Sensor gauge that keeps it from falling all the way down. Had to superglue it back together and that turned out just fine.
Gauges look great. The blue is much better looking than the green IMO. I wired up the wires to the wiring harness on the stock fog light switch. Red to Red/Yellow, Ground to Ground.
Although now the tach seems to stick on 2k RPM I'm gonna have to mess around with that tomorrow. Ugh.
