I just wanted to know how much an early 3rd generation maxima would cost. Around 80,000 miles, good condition, w/ or w/o options, spoiler. Would this criteria meet around $4000? Thanks. Also, what kinda mileage to the 3rd generation maximas get?

im sure you could easily find one at that price....i just checked http://www.kbb.com on mine and it says $6000 for retail (what you expect to pay at a dealership....i doubt they're going for that much...

as far as mileage is concerned...if you find one at 80000..thats awesome...i found mine at 67500 a little less than 2 years ago...many are well over 100k and one guy just posted the other day he had 367k on his....as long as they are maintained regularly and properly they will last a long time...

depends on your area and this and that ... blah blah blah.. i'm glad i found mine for $7k. it was a dealer, though, and we all know they make too much money on cars. buy it through a person, expect to pay much less. check out http://www.kbb.com or http://www.edmunds.com for used car values.

damn.. I got screwed! I paid $10.5k for mine 2.5 years ago...
oh well.. it's in great shape, and runs good.. I still work on it every weekend for fun, but it's still the most reliable car I've ever owned.
on long highway trips, I've gottan almost 30mpg. around town, I get about 16mpg.

yeah, same here.. at least I had mine for almost a year before I wrecked it.. pretty much totalled it too.. $4k in damage.. only thing wrong with it now is the paint is peeling off the bumper they replaced.
should be covered under warranty, but I dunno.. I've never been able to get ahold of them to find out.

i swear we have the same issues...mine was 4.5k in damage and ive had the back and front bumpers repainted under warranty...the back needs to be redone again and the front is peeling again only because i bumped that saturn a year ago...

eh....

I paid like 7,200$ for the car itself with 84k, but I had to rebuilt the ****ing transmission which died like 2 months after I got the damn thing, thats allready 8,500$ right there.
I got it in march, at that time, I saw many 3rd gens, a 90 GXE with around 100k for 5k $... 91 SE with 100k for 6,500$. Prices are a bit lower now, just saw a charcoal 93 SE 5spd for 6,000$ yesturday at a dealership, but the car has over a 140k on it.

got you all beat

FREE! My dad left it to me when he got an RX 300. I like it, I have a feeling that I'll dump it in 2-3 years when i go to college because by then the carr will be so old no matter how reliable it is things are gonna start to go wrong...a lot, and I can't fix SH** myself so the repair bills will really add up.
