My foglights have a short, I think. The just go out, but if I get out of the car and tap on them, they come back on. For a while, my headlights were doing it too, but they quit. But when my headlights did it, the hi-beam indicator light would come on and stay on until I went out and tapped on the light.

 

Did you check the wiring leading up to the foglights?
