I was wonderin how long ya'll planned on keeping your 3rd gen. I've seen plenty of people sell them now. The reason I bring this up is:

By the time I can drive (3 more yrs) Will ya'll still be in your 3rd Gens or will ya be cruisin in a 5th or 4th gen (or a different car altogether)??

LOL!! a 13 year old! Man you got lots of time, dont you have better things to worry bout at your age then a car you wont have for 3 years? hahaha.

Anyways, I plan on keeping my car until i find a decent prices 92-94 se 5 speed, or until it dies.

I'm keeping mine...its not worth it to even sell now since I put so $$$ much into it and will be putting A LOT more in this summer. I figure though it'll be two more years, then I graduate college and get me a newer car...maybe G35 or Is300, hopefully I'll be making some good cash by then...if not new I'll take an older model 300zx TT and call it a day! but the Max will be buried with me...

I'm pretty sure the kit you saw on that black one is for real. At the auto show in here in Hawaii, they had a silver base model G35 and that black one with the kit. The sales guy told me its a factory option called the aero package or something. I like the G35 straight out of the box, but that aero package made my jaw drop. Hopefully I'll be getting one.... oneday.

I plan on keeping my car through college. However, if I get some scholarships for college, I'm gonna get a "new" car. A fully modded 92-94 5-speed to be exact I figure my best chance of selling my car with mods is while I'm still at high school, so hopefully, I can get some scholarships. I would like to sell my car before it hits 100k.

I would like to say that I will keep mine but the truth is I get bored of cars after a while...I enjoy getting cars that are wrecked and fixing them saying I will keep them when I am through, but I have gotten bored of each one and wind up selling it. To me the fun part is the actuall work that I do on them.

I already have another project after my max is done...I had a 87 mr2 and gave it to my brother when my wife was pregnant with my first child...well he wrecked it a couple years ago and I haven't been able to find the parts at a good price until now so I think I will fix it up next.

If I fix up the mr2 I know it will be for sale (just too small and a automatic at that) but I really have enjoyed my max so I hope I don't get bored with it and decide to sell it...who knows.

3rd gens 4eva..

Well untill my maxima is no longer running on 6 cylinders.
I plan on keeping it for like 6+ years.. She's my first Max, plus my first car... dont yah just love the 3rd gen style... Well either until it dies, or untill the cost just is too much to handle.. but i am certain that the maxima will be my prefered car to drive.

Guess How long

I will keep him until it dies, or until i finish college, find a job, and afford a nice third gen gti, or a nice aurora, or another maxima, i love this car, i love the last generaion of thunderird/cougar, they look fine to me, i dont know, i have so much plans to do but i have no time/ money, i dont know but ill kepp my dear max until that happens, and i love this car too, it has a very sentimental value.

Viva Mexico

I'm keeping mine till the wheels fall off. And then, I will put some some new wheels on, keep it some more.

In all honesty, I know that a trade in or a private party sale will still not get me much for my car. My value on the car is much higher than what KBB says. KBB can't judge personal connections, ties, or work that has been put in the car. It can't compensate for memories. For those reasons, I will keep my car until it becomes financially unfeasible to keep it. As long as it continues to benefit me more and more each day, I will keep it.

I bought an 02 and am currently having a body kit and SC installed. Since I am without it and the 3rd Gen was my daily driver anyway, it seems like I am spending more and more time in my 3rd Gen. Makes me wonder why I ever bought another car in the first place.

C.D.

I plan on keeping it forever. If anything breaks, I'll fix it or PAY to have it fixed if need be! This is the first car I've bought with my own money, I own it by choice, and I love it. It'll look good next to my "pre-loved" M5 someday.

See you guys in 50!

Depends on how long it lasts.
I bought the car with 133K and it now has 250K, so that being the case it looks like I'll have it for a while. I can't stand the idea of even having any car payments so I'll save my pennies till I can buy another with cash and still keep the Max.

Actually meant to put 01. I said in another post in a different thread that I don't pay much attention to the keyboard when I am typing at night and all the lights are off. My bad. Sorry.

My original plans were to keep my 3rd Gen until the 6th Gen came out. But considering the incentives, I had to make a move.
