Any VG guys left?

I've been gone for about 4 months and it seems like everyone's driving VE's now. I was just wondering if anyone has that Endless turbo project completed yet.

I don't think everyones driving VEs, I just think a lot of people want them...I think on the ORG there are more VGs than VEs, but I could be wrong....

I'm still driving mine....160,--- miles and counting!!!

Though a VE would be nice, I don't plan on getting one. I like my car too much.

A VE would be great if I could find one with low mileage and in good condition. Good luck with that one. I'll have my VG for at least a few more years.

nope
im lookin for somethin with awd or rwd next
i like nissan but need other things
although the 350Z seems really nice
still keepin the max for 3 or 4 years, hopin it will last
i push it pretty hard, and probably will continue to do so
but i love my car as a starter, plenty of power and handles really well for its size

Long live relaible VG's

Of all the maxima's.. VG the most reliabel on the 3rd gen.. I love my maxima.. but i wish i had a bit more power and a manual tranny.. I find my self manual shifting alot. sigh but my 160 horsies have to do..

btw i now its ot.. but what does a stock vg run( auto and manual)..
How fast is a vg with all mods.. Y-pipe, popcharger, catback, tranny cooler...?

VG POWER!

Hahaha. Well, I'm keeping it secret but lets just say my mechanic friend and I will eventually get around to.....um....well lets just say it involves converting the drivetrain to something that rhymes with Wattro. Not kidding either, just need to get the darn funds. BTW, I'm not no newbie bragging about some "new project" or something. My mechanic friend has been a mechanic for 30+ yrs and has worked on nearly every car known to man!
I still have my '91 GXE and don't plan on ever selling it. I just love it to much, plus the VG is just bulletproof and can sure take a beating.

Hehehe. I've already found out just how bad it can be when you loose control in a FWD (not an accident but it still scared the sh*t out of me!) so I jumped at the chance when my friend mentioned he could do the conversion. It will probably cost some serious $$$ though.
BTW, I just turned 176k today! Man, my VG still runs like a beast.

Crazy4maxima, right now my VG is mostly stock. I've been holding out on mods so I can save a lot of dough, and do a bunch of mods at once. I only have a K&N filter, tokico shocks/struts, and Suspension Tech. springs. Hehe. I still haven't been to the track yet but my friend and I found a good secluded straight road and used stopwatches to get our 1/4 mi. Of course that's not very accurate at all but I think I did 16.7 (it was quite awhile ago), but who knows how close it was to 1/4 mi.

lol Now that is what i call ghetto... but i see that you have 16.7..lol my first run at the track i had 17 sec.. i brought it down to 16.54.... and that is with out my power seats rear seats and spare, nothing in the trunk..lol.. hey you say you have not modded.. but you have "K&N filter, tokico shocks/struts, and Suspension Tech. springs".. those are mods.. lol i wish i had stuff like that

Well, I know they are mods but I was thinking more in terms of power mods. Though, my stock suspension was such crap that when I upgraded my whole suspension my GXE felt like it had 10+ more HP! I'm serious, it actually is a little faster. I'm guessing its because my crap stock suspension (it was damaged and needing replacement anyways) couldn't quite get the power to the ground. LOL, yeah that was pretty ghetto! My friend and I were just bored and wondering what we could do so we thought we'd take the stopwatch and try 0-60 and 1/4mi times. At first my 0-60 was something like 12.5, since my dumb tranny didn't want to downshift off the line (TC lag). My friend kept laughing and then we tried it in his '91 240sx (dohc 5spd). After that, I tried again and shifted 1-2-D like a ****! I think I spun the tires just the right amount and my 0-60 was back down to about 8.9-9.1, which is good considering the age/mileage my car has and the fact that stock factory 0-60 is supposed to be 9.1. Sorry to get so off topic with all this.

I can't wait till I can drive my car again. The engine is almost out and once I replace the timing belt on the new one it will be ready to go in. I'll never let the timing belt break again. From now on I'll replace it ever 55,000 miles.

Kraus91se, did you bend any valves or anything like that? I'm glad I got to replace my belt just in time. It probably would have broke the next day, had I not replaced it.
